The University of Vienna announces a new Advanced Graduate Student Exchange Program as part of the scholarly exchange program between Stanford University and the University of Vienna. This program is intended to enable young scholars of the University of Vienna to conduct research at any of Stanford University’s schools for either short term visits (two to four weeks) or for a longer research stay (up to one academic year). The program is co-sponsored by the Forum on Contemporary Europe at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) of Stanford University (http://fce.stanford.edu).

Costs: The program offers traveling costs (up to 1000 Euro) and accommodation costs (650 Euro per month for doctoral students, 800 Euro per month for post-docs).

Qualifications: University of Vienna students who have obtained at a minimum their master’s degree (Mag.) and are pursuing doctoral or comparable graduate studies (Dr.) or are conducting post-doctoral research (e.g. Habilitation) are eligible to apply.

Selection criteria: Priority will be given to scholars whose research interests overlap with those of the research centers of FSI, the Forum on Contemporary Europe, and fields supported by faculty research in any of the seven schools of Stanford University.
