Office of the Ombudsman of the University of Vienna for ensuring compliance with good scientific practice

The University of Vienna is a member of the Austrian Agency for Scientific Integrity (OeAWI). The Office of the Ombudsman of the University of Vienna considers itself the first contact point for researchers wishing to lodge a complaint about scientific misconduct. However, complainants are, of course, free to contact the Agency directly.

Allegations of plagiarism in diploma or doctoral theses should be presented directly to the administrative body responsible for study matters (Studienpräses).
