Good Scientific Practice – Scientific Misconduct
What does good scientific practice include and where does scientific misconduct start?
In this workshop participants will reflect on the basic rules and values of good scientific practice. After a short introduction to the principles of „good scientific practice, Dr. Nicole Föger from the Austrian Agency for Research Integrity will elaborate on the categories and definition of "scientific misconduct". In small groups participants will discuss examples of scientific misconduct and will explore the grey areas between good scientific practice and questionable research practices, and learn how to recognize and prevent scientific misconduct.
