Webinar: ORCID iD - Why should I have one?

The ORCID iD is a unique, persistent identifier free of charge to researchers provided by the non-profit organization ORCID, which stands for Open Researcher and Contributor ID. The ORCID iD is non-proprietary and has gained momentum internationally, since funding agencies, publishers, editors, and institutions reliably identify individuals and their research outputs in the same way that ISBNs and DOIs identify books and articles. The University of Vienna is a lead partner in the ORCID Austria Consortium and encourages its researchers to register for their own ORCID iDs and connect their ORCID records to their u:cris profiles.

This talk will point out the many benefits of using an ORCID iD for researchers.
