Over 40 doctoral students from the partner universities - Université de la Manouba, Université de Tunis, Université de Tunis El Manar, Université Virtuelle de Tunis, University of Kairouan, Université de Sfax, University of Sousse, Universidad de Granada, University of Vienna - as well as University professors and representatives of the project coordinator Unimed have participated.
During the online week, 4 of the 8 online courses on the application of digital approaches and techniques in the humanities and social sciences, which were developed as part of the project, were presented and discussed. Moreover, the doctoral students were invited to present scientific posters on their doctoral theses.
The week in Vienna took place from 20 to 27 September on the campus of the University of Vienna and was opened by Vice-Rector Ronald Maier. The programme consisted of a series of lectures and panel discussions on the topic of opportunities, challenges and new perspectives on the use of digital technologies in the humanities and social sciences. The afternoons offered the opportunity for exchange, for example with the Data Stewards of the University of Vienna or on the topic of science communication with social media, as well as for a visit to the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities & Cultural Heritage (ACDH-CH) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
