Welcome to the website of the DLE Research Service and Career Development of the University of Vienna. The DLE is composed of the Research Service, Center for Doctoral Studies and Technology Transfer and is the central service institution for the support of doctoral students, postdocs, as well as established scientists. Our central tasks include advising prospective or current doctoral students, providing further development of non-subject-specific competences, supporting the planning and acquisition of third-party funding, drafting contracts for third-party funded projects and other research contracts, and supporting the transfer and commercialisation of scientific results.

Our team supports researchers of the University of Vienna who apply for research projects. The service includes information on various national and international funding programmes as well as support in filing an application or project planning (particularly with regard to budgeting) and management.

The Center for Doctoral Studies is the central contact point for matters related to doctoral education at the University of Vienna. (Prospective) Doctoral candidats can contact the team of the Center to learn more about the sturcutre and requirements of a doctorate at the University of Vienna.

The Knowledge and Technology Transfer is tasked with promoting the transfer of University technologies to industry, thereby helping to commercialise inventions for the public good, and generating revenue for the University to invest in further research.
