Bank Austria Research Award
The Bank Austria Foundation for Science and Research at the University of Vienna offers the “Bank Austria Research Award” for particularly interesting and promising research projects.
The award is offered in yearly rotation to different Doctoral Schools. In 2023, submissions from the following Doctoral Schools of the University of Vienna will be accepted:
- Advanced Research School in Law and Jurisprudence
- Vienna Doctoral School of Social Sciences
- Vienna Doctoral School in Cognition, Behaviour, and Neuroscience
- Vienna Doctoral School for Theology and Research on Religion
The target group of this prize are young researchers of the University of Vienna. The Bank Austria Research Award is awarded for research work within the framework of doctoral studies that may have a particular impact. The theses must not be older than one year!

Amount of award
The Bank Austria Foundation offers a main award in the amount of € 4.000,-- and two merit awards of € 1.000,-- each.

The decision will be taken by the Bank Austria Foundation for Science and Research. All decisions will be final.
